We are now looking for a civilian teacher in method support systems for the Swedish Armed Forces' Intelligence and Security Center (FMUndSäkC). The position is located at the Method Support Department of the Training Unit in Uppsala.
Applying Unit
The Training Unit meets the Swedish Armed Forces' need for intelligence and security personnel through method and analysis training. The unit is organized into the Security Force Department, Intelligence Department, Security Department, Method Support Department, and Image Intelligence Department. The Security Force Department is located in Halmstad, while the others are in Uppsala. The current position is placed at the Method Support Department in Uppsala.
Method Support Department
The Method Support Department is a unit in development. Its task is to develop and train military and civilian personnel who work within the security service in our IT support systems.
As a teacher in the Method Support Department, you will undergo a qualified and sought-after education while gradually growing into the teaching role, regardless of previous experience.
Main Responsibilities
We will train you for the role of method support teacher. After that, you will take over as course leader and responsible teacher. Your development assignments will eventually be converted into courses where you will independently plan, conduct, and follow up on courses and projects. The focus is on information systems and the implementation of methods to achieve good security and user understanding. Your tasks will be to support development within intelligence and security services as well as training within occupational courses (YBK) for national and international operations.
Qualifications
You have:
- post-secondary education in a relevant field as assessed suitable by the employer.
- previous experience as a teacher or course leader.
- good ability to translate operational training, literature, and materials into pedagogical lessons.
- good system and process understanding and can see the whole in the operation.
- good ability to express yourself verbally and in writing in Swedish and English.
Meritorious Qualifications
You have:
- teaching certification or equivalent qualifications.
- experience/knowledge of networks within various IT systems.
- previous experience in intelligence and/or security services.
- worked in IS UNDSÄK.
- experience in information security services (threat actors, attack vectors, and protective measures).
Personal Qualities
We are looking for someone who is interested in a varied position with a high degree of independence and responsibility. Trust is important as you will have significant personal responsibility for solving assigned tasks. The position requires good pedagogical skills as it largely involves creating various learning situations as a teacher and course leader. The position includes both administrative and practical work where structure and accuracy are highly valued as the work involves contributing to the development of intelligence and security services in the Swedish Armed Forces. We value that you have good health and an interest in physical training. Great emphasis will be placed on personal qualities.

The center is joint for the armed forces and was established in 1998 when the Air Force's and Army's intelligence schools and the Defense's interpreter school were merged into Uppsala garrison.
